First Responder Appreciation Day

September 26 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Us for First Responder Appreciation Day

First Responder Appreciation Day gives our community the opportunity to honor the men and women who answer the call when others need help most. Every day, they respond to emergencies with courage, compassion, and professionalism. They protect our families, support our neighbors, and strengthen our communities. On September 26, 2026, the Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum invites everyone to join us in saying thank you.

First Responder Appreciation Day Ceremony

The event begins at 11:00 AM with a Community Ceremony of Appreciation. During the ceremony, we will recognize the service and commitment of first responders. We will also thank them for the countless ways they make a difference each day. Together, we can show our appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice.

Celebrate with Our Community

After the ceremony, guests can meet attending first responders and explore emergency vehicles, as available. In addition, everyone can enjoy free ice cream and tour the Chapel and Museum. Families are encouraged to attend. Children and adults alike will have the chance to learn more about the people who serve our communities.

Why First Responder Appreciation Day Matters

First responders often work in difficult situations. They respond to emergencies at all hours of the day and night. They help strangers without hesitation. Because of their commitment, our communities are safer and stronger.

The Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum honors a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and service. Therefore, First Responder Appreciation Day is a meaningful way to recognize those who continue that tradition today. We hope this event reminds every first responder that their service is appreciated and never taken for granted.

Everyone Is Welcome

Whether you know a first responder or simply want to express your gratitude, we invite you to join us. Together, we can celebrate First Responder Appreciation Day and thank the everyday heroes who make a difference in our lives.
