Fox Chapel Sunday Service & Museum Tours

Join us for a special Fox Chapel Sunday service at the Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum during Lunenburg Old Home Days weekend.
This service brings together the congregations of East Concord, Lunenburg, and the chapel. It offers a time for worship, reflection, and community.
Chaplain (Major) Eric Stuepfert will lead the service. He serves as Deputy Joint Force Headquarters Chaplain for the Vermont Army National Guard. In this role, he supports service members and their families across Vermont. His presence connects faith, service, and the mission of the chapel.
The chapel honors Rev. George L. Fox, one of the Four Chaplains of World War II. These chaplains gave their lives in 1943 when the troop ship Dorchester was torpedoed. They gave their life jackets to others and helped calm soldiers as the ship sank.
Visitors can also explore the museum. The George & Isadore Fox Museum offers self-guided tours. Each exhibit includes stories, artifacts, and historical details. As a result, visitors can learn at their own pace.
In addition, guests are encouraged to take time to reflect. The chapel provides a quiet and meaningful setting for both learning and remembrance.
Whether you are attending Old Home Days or visiting for the first time, this event offers a meaningful experience.
