During the ceremony\, we will recognize the service and commitment of first responders. We will also thank them for the countless ways they make a difference each day. Together\, we can show our appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice. \nCelebrate with Our Community\nAfter the ceremony\, guests can meet attending first responders and explore emergency vehicles\, as available. In addition\, everyone can enjoy free ice cream and tour the Chapel and Museum. Families are encouraged to attend. Children and adults alike will have the chance to learn more about the people who serve our communities. \nWhy First Responder Appreciation Day Matters\nFirst responders often work in difficult situations. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum on Saturday\, October 31\, 2026\, from 4:00–7:00 PM for a spooktacular good time! Families\, neighbors\, and visitors are all welcome to stop in as they make their Halloween rounds. \nOur Trunk or Treat will offer Halloween candy for the kids and freshly grilled hot dogs for the adults. Costumes are encouraged\, so bring your little ghosts\, goblins\, superheroes\, princesses\, and other Halloween characters along for a visit. \nHalloween Fun for the Whole Family\nWe want our Halloween Trunk or Treat in Gilman VT to be an easy\, welcoming stop for local families. There is no need to stay for the entire event. Come by anytime between 4:00 and 7:00 PM to pick up some candy\, enjoy a grilled hot dog\, say hello\, and spend a little time with your neighbors. \nThe museum will also be open during the event.
