SUMMARY:Fox Chapel Sunday Service & Museum Tours
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special Fox Chapel Sunday service at the Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum during Lunenburg Old Home Days weekend. \nThis service brings together the congregations of East Concord\, Lunenburg\, and the chapel. His presence connects faith\, service\, and the mission of the chapel. \nThe chapel honors Rev. George L. Fox\, one of the Four Chaplains of World War II. These chaplains gave their lives in 1943 when the troop ship Dorchester was torpedoed. The Four Chaplains gave their life jackets to others when the troop ship Dorchester was torpedoed in 1943. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire people today. \nThe museum also honors Rev. Isadore H. Fox. She was an ordained Methodist minister who carried forward her husband’s legacy for 40 years after his death. \nIn addition\, visitors can take time to reflect in the chapel. This quiet space adds to the experience. \nBecause the tours are self-guided\, each visit is personal and flexible. You can explore as much or as little as you like. \nWe welcome all visitors to the Museum Open for Tours each Saturday and admission is free.
