SUMMARY:Museum open for tours
DESCRIPTION:Museum Open for Tours every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum in Gilman\, VT. \nVisitors can enjoy free self-guided tours of the George & Isadore Fox Museum. You can explore at your own pace and spend time with the exhibits that interest you most. \nEach exhibit shares stories\, artifacts\, and historical details. These displays help bring the lives of Rev. George L. Fox and Rev. Isadore H. Fox to life. \nRev. George L. Fox was one of the Immortal Four Chaplains of World War II. The Four Chaplains gave their life jackets to others when the troop ship Dorchester was torpedoed in 1943. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire people today. \nThe museum also honors Rev. Isadore H. Fox. She was an ordained Methodist minister who carried forward her husband’s legacy for 40 years after his death. \nIn addition\, visitors can take time to reflect in the chapel. This quiet space adds to the experience. \nBecause the tours are self-guided\, each visit is personal and flexible. You can explore as much or as little as you like. \nWe welcome all visitors to the Museum Open for Tours each Saturday and admission is free.
