One of the unexpected highlights of our recent Country Night Fundraiser at the Rev. George L. Fox Memorial Chapel & Museum wasn’t on the stage or at the grill—it was the Art Cart.
While adults enjoyed the music, food, and conversation, children gathered around a colorful collection of art supplies, creating everything from drawings to imaginative works of art. It was wonderful to see young families spending time together while the kids happily explored their creativity.
you haven’t heard of the Art Cart before, you’re not alone. We hadn’t fully appreciated what a special community resource it is until we saw it in action. The Art Cart makes appearances at many Lunenburg community events, offering children a free opportunity to create, imagine, and simply have fun.
Sometimes it’s the little things that make an event memorable. The Art Cart gave families another reason to stay a little longer, relax a little more, and enjoy being together. It added a warmth and sense of community that perfectly complemented the evening.
We wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank everyone who has helped make the Art Cart part of community life in Lunenburg. It’s a simple idea with a big impact, reminding us that creativity, kindness, and community often go hand in hand.
We encourage everyone to keep an eye out for the Art Cart at future community events—you’ll be glad you stopped by. Whether you’re a budding young artist or simply enjoy seeing creativity at work, it’s another reason to celebrate all the wonderful things happening in our corner of the Northeast Kingdom.
